Born in 1966 in Scotland, Gordan Ramsay is a decorated chef and television personality known for his scathing insults and no-nonsense attitude.
Ramsay has been awarded 16 Michelin stars throughout his career, seven of which he still holds. He owns a number of restaurants across several continents.
Ramsay first rose to prominence through the 1999 documentary, Boiling Point which introduced him to a broader audience outside of the restaurant industry. Five years later he hosted his first two television shows: Hell’s Kitchen UK (the first season only – the show continued for a further three seasons) and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares (2004-2009).
The following year, The F Word premiered and aired until 2010, along with hitting television screens across the pond with Hell’s Kitchen US that same year. Kitchen Nightmares (US) ran from 2007-2014 and saw Ramsay attempt to help failing restaurants, in addition to eating disgusting food for our viewing entertainment.
We’d be here all day if we were to list every show he’s on, but he is also a current judge on Masterchef US (since 2010), and new seasons of Hell’s Kitchen are still being produced. Aside from television, Ramsay has hundreds of millions of views on Youtube.
Outside of playing a villain on television, Ramsay has recently been scrutinised for laying off 500-plus staff from his UK restaurants due to the pandemic – we’re sure those people would have a few choice F-words for him.
In the tattoo world, we were actually surprised to discover that Gordon Ramsay tattoos are a thing. We especially love that in this list of five tattoos, just the one is a serious portrait, with the other four adding humour and creativity while referencing some popular Gordon Ramsay memes.
Warn your tattoo artist in advance if you think that you might just turn into Gordon Ramsay when getting tattooed by swearing as mush as he does on television.
