Top 4 Miley Cyrus Tattoos – Littered With Garbage

Born Destiny Hope Cyrus in 1992, her (now legal) name of Miley was inspired by her childhood nickname, Smiley. We’re not afraid to admit that we’re just slightly jealous that the incredible, Dolly Parton is her godmother.

Miley burst onto the scene in 2006 as the titular character on Disney Channel’s, Hannah Montana; a character which she portrayed until 2011. Miley also lent her vocals to a number of albums released as Hannah Montana.

In the decade since leaving Disney behind, she has released seven solo albums. Miley now holds the title of the most top five albums in the 21st century of any female artist.

We’re too old to have watched Hannah Montana, but in more recent years we have enjoyed some of Miley’s music – “Younger Now,” “Slide Away” and “Midnight Sky” are some of our favourite songs. We’re also currently (still) loving her covers of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” and “Maneater” by Daryl Hall and John Oates.

Just like Taylor Swift (and most female celebrities), Miley is often under constant mass media and social media scrutiny about her relationships, fashion and appearance. As tattoo collectors, we can relate to how strangers judge the choices we make about decorating our bodies in such a permanent manner.

Miley has a vast collection of micro black and grey tattoos herself, including a tiny jar of Vegemite. We suggest something bolder to ensure longevity, but it’s ultimately your choice which style you settle on. Having spent 15 years in the public eye, what era of her style and musical evolution will inspire your own Miley Cyrus tattoo?
