Despite being a fictional creature in the Harry Potter universe, Nifflers have an uncanny resemblance to the Australian platypus.

Nifflers were only mentioned in the Harry Potter books and did not feature in any of the movies; it wasn’t until 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that they made their film debut.
