The ‘Impractical Jokers’ Show You What Not to Do When You See People With (Bad) Tattoos – Littered With Garbage
Everything about Impractical Jokers equates to secondhand embarrassment and discomfort – precisely what makes the show as entertaining as it is. The punishments, in particular, are usually the most brutal, for both the Joker and those watching at home.
Just as we choose to shine a spotlight on all the great tattoos out there – rather than focusing on the terrible ones – sharing a negative opinion of a person’s tattoo (to their face, no less) is unnecessary and uncalled for.
In the season 8 Impractical Jokers episode titled “The Dumbbell,” Murr was the loser and his punishment was to do precisely what we recommend you not to do. He had to walk around a gym, pull a piece of paper out of his fanny pack when prompted and repeat what was on the paper to an unsuspecting gym-goer. Each piece had an insult written on it and, being a punishment, Murr had no choice but to go through with it.
Some of the people Murr insulted actually had a sense of humour and were completely bemused that a complete stranger would come up to them and say something so outlandish.
This is funny because it is a punishment, and Murr was the one who was made to be the butt of the joke. Those people insulted by Murr were made aware that they were on a television show and agreed for their face to be shown.
You might see an absolutely horrible tattoo and it’s completely fine that you think it is horrible. Everyone is entitled to their opinion – it doesn’t mean you need to share it. We recommend watching this video but not ever recreating it.
Watch the clip below and then tell us on a scale from 1-10 how much you were cringing.
