‘The Breakfast Club’ Tattoo Inspiration – Littered With Garbage

Last year was the anniversary of yet another John Hughes classic with The Breakfast Club turning 35.

Even if it’s been years or even decades since you last watched the film, there’s no forgetting that iconic end scene with Simple Minds’ “Don’t You Forget About Me” playing.

The Breakfast Club stars Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez and a number of other people from the “Brat Pack” and we follow them to their school. These five students from different cliques are forced to attend an all day (7am to 4pm) Saturday detention – is that even a real thing?

Vice Principal Richard Vernon tells them that they’re not meant to talk, move from their seat, or sleep – he instructs them to write a 1000 word essay describing who they think they are. Of course, the rules aren’t followed for long.

Over the course of that one day, the students learn more about one another and, despite the stereotypes and cliques they each fall into, realise that they’re all troubled. Each of them have terrible relationships with their parents. They’re literally just trying to survive high school before they can leave home and live life for themselves.

With which what character do you most relate: the Brain, the Athlete, the Basket Case, the Princess or the Criminal?

Don’t punish yourself with a life-long detention by getting a bad Breakfast Club tattoo – research like you’re being graded on it and find an A+ worthy tattoo artist.

Cue up The Breakfast Club soundtrack and take a look at these tattoos.
