The battle between Pepsi and Coca-Cola has been raging for decades – it was even mentioned in Billy Joel’s song “We Didn’t Start the Fire” in the line “Rock & Roller Cola Wars.” Which brand do you prefer? Pepsi, probably, since you found your way here.
Called Brad’s Drink when created by Caleb Bradham in 1893, it changed names to Pepsi-Cola in 1898. For the past 60 years, the drink has since simply been known as Pepsi.
Advertising campaigns in recent decades have included celebrity endorsements by the likes of Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, P!nk, and Beyoncé – we love the ladies’ cover of Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” even if it was for a commercial.
A carbonated cola drink, back in the day a bottle cost just five cents! A bottle or a can is no longer that cheap, and neither are tattoos, but if they’re what you love, then they’re worth every cent.
Before researching for this post, the one and only Pepsi tattoo we were aware of was that of CM Punk. When wrestling for WWE, all promotional photographs would see his Pepsi logo tattoo Photoshopped out due to copyright.
Your tattoo idea might include both CM Punk and Pepsi – tattooed tattoos are a favourite of ours. Non-wrestling related, it might feature a favourite Pepsi logo from years past due to your love of the drink; be inspired by a film or television show; or represent a really deeply personal memory.
