Lady Lovelylocks and the Pixietails were created in the 1980s by American Greetings Company along with the likes of Care Bears, Popples, and Strawberry Shortcake.
Lady Lovelylocks and her friends were responsible for keeping the Kingdom of Lovelylocks safe from enemies. The Pixietails were rabbit or squirrel-like animals found in her hair.
The 1987 Lady Lovelylocks animated television series (produced by the animators behind Rainbow Brite and Jem) only resulted in 20 episodes, while the Mattel produced/licensed toy line was sold in stores from 1987 until 1989. Several books following Lady Lovelylocks and her friends were also released.
While never reaching the height of success nor as widely recognised as other American Greetings characters, there are a few Lady Lovelylocks tattoos floating around online. There’s (currently) only two tattoos, but these should still serve as inspiration and motivation for you to add Lady Lovelylocks to your tattoo collection
