Conchas are a Mexican sweet bread roll that come in various colours and flavours. The dough is covered with a mixture of sugar, flour and butter to create the crackly, crunchy topping. The word concha means shell in Spanish, reflecting the food’s appearance
Popular in Mexico and the US, concha are enjoyed with coffee for breakfast or as an afternoon snack.
