Banana Split Tattoo Inspiration – Littered With Garbage

When you cut a banana in half length ways and then top it with three scoops of ice cream (one each of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry), drizzle with a sweet sauce (chocolate, strawberry or pineapple), some squirts of whipped cream, along with a cherry or two, then you have yourself a banana split.

The National Ice Cream Retailers Association certifies Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA as the birthplace of the banana split, and David “Doc” Strickler as its creator back in 1904.

It was three years later in 1907 that the first recipe for a banana split was published and circulated to the greater population. In 1919, The Spatula Soda Water Guide featured 25 recipe variations for the banana split. What are your preferred toppings?

We’re personally not fans of this dessert, but we can appreciate a banana split in tattoo form. Will you be ordering one for your next tattoo?
