Absolutely Fabulous ‘Ab Fab’ Tattoos – Littered With Garbage
It’s been almost 30 years since Absolutely Fabulous premiered, and still people can’t get enough of the show or its crazy cast of characters.
Absolutely Fabulous was developed into a series by Saunders, but based on “Modern Mother and Daughter” sketch from the French and Saunders show. There’s been 39 episodes (of which 7 are specials) across 5 seasons, and one feature film.
In Absolutely Fabulous Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley play Edina (Eddy) Monsoon, a Public Relations agent, and Patsy Stone, a magazine fashion director.
The pair are the best of friends and live in somewhat of a fantasy world where, despite being closer to middle age, they still act as though they’re in their early 20s. Involved in the crazy world of fame, sex, drugs, fashion, and fads, they refuse to grow up.
Eddy’s straight-laced and intelligent daughter, Saffron is frankly sick of her mother’s (and her mother’s friend’s) shit – she is far more mature than the two combined.
Despite money and success, Eddy is still concerned about her looks and her figure, and is ironically influenced by the impossible standards imposed and promoted by fashion and beauty magazines.
Jennifer Saunders said that the 2016 film was the end of Ab Fab, but things always change in the entertainment industry. Would you like to see additional specials or even another season or two?
Eddy and Patsy are clearly the stars of the show, however Patsy is favoured when it comes to tattoos. We’d love to see more Eddy pieces and even some Saffron or Bubble tattoos pop up online in the future.
The show’s characters are influenced by the media and fads, but we encourage you to be diligent and do your research before booking your appointment; pick the right artist and you will have yourself an absolutely fabulous Ab Fab tattoo, just like the owners of these pieces.
