A Tattoo Tribute to England’s Iconic Briefcase Wanker – Littered With Garbage

October will mark 10 years since the final episode aired of everyone’s favourite British high school comedy show, The Inbetweeners.

In 2008 we were introduced to Will who was starting over at a new school and quickly became known as a “briefcase wanker” before becoming friends with Simon, Jay and Neil. Over the course of three seasons and 18 episodes, we followed their shenanigans, constantly bullshitting one another, dealing with school bullies, their parents, and girls. If anything, their embarrassing moments make our own high school experiences pale in comparison.

After two widely successful feature films in 2011 and 2014 The Inbetweeners has surely cemented its cult status.

The Inbetweeners is similar to Schitt’s Creek in that it’s wildly popular, frequently quoted and memed online, and yet there are so few fan tattoos in existence.

While we prefer to show you more than a single tattoo in a blog post. we just had to share this Will McKenzie tattoo by Kat Weir from Hot Copper Studio in Melbourne, Australia.

If the tattoo from Kat Weir has got you thinking about a possible Inbetweeners tattoo for yourself, here are a few suggestions:

  • A Simon x Yoda face split, or Simon stylised as Yoda (or vice versa) given his penchant for speaking in Yoda’s voice in “The Field Trip” (Season 1 – Episode 7);
  • Simon’s daggy car, with the door missing, of course from “Thorpe Park” (Season 1 – Episode 3);
  • An energy drink can to remind you of that messy scene in “Exam Time” (Season 2 – Episode 6);
  • A crossover between The Inbetweeners and Friday Night Dinner, both shows which star Simon Bird.

Your tattoo can be a portrait (in any style) of one or more of the characters, a quote or inanimate object to represent your favourite episode or scene from the series or the films.

We can’t wait to see what you and your tattoo artist come up with!
