The Wolf Man is a 1941 American horror film and is now considered to be a classic Universal picture. The film was a success and was followed by a further four sequels.
Unlike many other monster films (or even Disney) The Wolf Man wasn’t inspired by, nor was it an adaptation of, an existing literary piece.
Like vampires, if someone were to be attacked by a werewolf and survive, they themselves would then turn into a werewolf.
In the decades since the film’s release, depictions of werewolves have all been loosely based on the Wolf Man character.
If you’re looking for an artist to depict the original Wolf Man in their chosen style, then take a look at the tattoos below. But if you’re looking for a more generic werewolf tattoo, click here for some more werewolf tattoo inspiration.
