Fairly OddParents has a long and storied history on Nickelodeon. Created by Butch Hartman, Fairly OddParents began as shorts, debuting in 1998 and ending in 2001. The show struck a chord with Nickelodeon’s key audience and thus Fairly OddParents was picked up by the network and went to series. The first five seasons ran from 2001 to 2006 when the show was cancelled. Who are The Merkins? The Merkins produce horror-pop crossovers and parodies of hit songs from the past several decades. Since joining YouTube in 2015, they’ve gained a following of 377,000 subscribers and amassed over 60 million views. We first discovered them as the Slashstreet Boys: five horror movie villains replacing the members of the Backstreet Boys. We never asked for these songs, but now we can’t do without them.
