Today is November 22, 2020 and just so happens to mark 30 years since The Undertaker made his WWF debut. We’re celebrating in the only way we know how: we’re sharing the top 30 Undertaker tattoos.
This post was originally published during Halloween Month 2018, and updated with additional images earlier this year, so please excuse all the dated wrestling and Halloween references.
We could actually be at the Melbourne Cricket Ground right now (given that we live only 40km away) for WWE’s Super Show-Down but, given the rather lacklustre card, we opted to stay home and do some more tattoo research for Halloween Month.
The Undertaker is set to face Triple H, apparently for the final time, and if tattoos are anything to go by then the Deadman will be victorious. There are few Triple H tattoos in existence (you can read more into that if you like), whereas the Undertaker probably ranks up there as one of the top five most popular choices in wrestling tattoos.
We’ve already featured one undertaker this month (the Tall Man from the horror movie franchise, Phantasm) but there’s always room for more on LWG.
The backstory of the Undertaker’s character in wrestling – especially in the early years – could be compared to that of a horror movie. 1997-1999 era Undertaker was our favourite, with all the occult overtones as he lead the Ministry of Darkness, and his attempted marriage to Stephanie McMahon; dream wedding, anyone?
The Deadman is likely close to retiring once and for all, but he will continue to rest in peace in tattoo form.
