Top 30 ‘The Shining’ Tattoos

Things at the Overlook Hotel are not what they seem and it just happens to be the setting of The Shining, the 1980 horror film based on Stephen King’s 1977 novel of the same name.

The book/film title refers to the psychic abilities of Jack Torrance’s (Jack Nicholson) son, Danny. It is through his visions, and the strange personality change and actions of his father, that the audience are drawn into a world of horror.

Stephen King has stated multiple times his dissatisfaction with the film, although it remains one of the greatest horror films of all time – it also happens to be one of our favourites.
