Today marks the 25th anniversary of the film so many of us watched and loved as children: Mrs. Doubtfire.
The film covered realistic themes of divorce and custody battles but with the crazy concept of a father disguising himself as an elderly female nanny. Mrs. Doubtfire made us both laugh and cry – more of the latter now that Robin is gone.
It’s news to us, but the film was actually based on the novel Alias Madame Doubtfire by Anne Fine. Mrs. Doubtfire was directed by Chris Columbus – the man behind other classics such as Gremlins and Home Alone – and was the second highest grossing film of 1993.
Sadly Robin Williams is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on in his comedy, his charity work, and his many television and film roles – not to mention these tattoos, too.
What is your favourite line or scene from Mrs. Doubtfire?
