Top 10 Werewolf Tattoos
From European folklore, werewolves are thought to be humans that shapeshift into a wolf-like creature. For one to become a werewolf they have been cursed or received a bite or scratch from another werewolf. Although not as common as those accused of witchcraft, from the 15th to 18th centuries, werewolf trials were held in Europe.
As people studied folklore, stories made their way into literature, eventually finding their way into popular culture, mainly television and films. Various remedies were used on those thought to be afflicted, but it wasn’t until the fictional tales where it was said that werewolves were vulnerable to silver.
Some of the most notable werewolves that appear in tattoos include those from the 1941 film The Wolf Man and An American Werewolf in London; you may also find inspiration in the Underworld and Twilight film franchises.
