Queen Elizabeth II Tattoo Inspiration

Queen Elizabeth II was born in 1926 and aged just 26 when she became the Queen of England in 1952 following the death of her father. Despite calls for her to abdicate, she has been the ruling monarch for almost 70 years. She has four children, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, with another two on the way.

Queen Elizabeth II is the head of state of the Commonwealth of Nations. The Commonwealth comprises of 54 states, many of which were former British territories and are now republics; only a small number still recognise her as their monarch.

Known for her corgis, Queen Elizabeth II was gifted a Pembroke Welsh corgi on her 18th birthday, which she named Susan. She bred and kept at least one dog from each litter, continuing that line for decades, until the passing of Willow in 2018. She’s also owned dorgis – a cross breed of a corgi and dachshund.

If Queen Elizabeth II were to get tattooed, what imagery and style do you think she would choose? We imagine that if she got a whole back piece of portraits of her entire family, or even her pets, she’d quickly run out of room.

No matter your thoughts and feelings toward Queen Elizabeth II and the British monarchy, surely we can all agree that these are some well-executed tattoos.
