Not Just A Girl tattoo charity flash day is back for its second year. On Sunday 28th of October 2018, some of Australia’s best female tattoo artists are joining forces to raise money for three worthy charities.
Not Just A Girl is all about supporting women’s charities, but it is stressed that the flash day is inclusive and all about equality – everyone is welcome to attend and get tattooed.
WHAT IS NJAG ALL ABOUT?
“This event was created as a reaction to the collective experiences of gender inequality by women in tattooing. Not Just A Girl is a group of female identifying tattoo artists who decided to work together to help those less privileged and to raise them up and make a positive impact on our community.
Our hope is to see equality for ALL people and we believe that creating equality starts with recognising our privilege and supporting those in need. And we are doing that by showcasing the work of some of the best female identifying tattoo artists in Australia and raising money for some of our favourite women’s charities.”
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Show your support by getting tattooed, buying a raffle ticket (tattoo artists and various companies have generously donated some amazing prizes), purchasing some merch, or by sharing details of the event with your friends, family and online followers.
The Sydney event will be accepting donations of sanitary products, and at the Brisbane event you can donate bras and sanitary products – all of which will be going to additional charity organisations.
