Top 5 Tips From Littered With Garbage
There has never been as easier time for people to find amazing tattoo artists and get incredible tattoos than right now.
There’s tattooed people – and even tattoo artists – sharing their knowledge and experiences through blogs, YouTube and social media. Yet, we still see people confused when it comes to getting their first (or first few) tattoos.
Is it a case of information overload? It appears that people are getting confused and stressing themselves out for no reason.
We’re all for avoiding over-complicating things. Here are our top 5 tips:
No one can tell you how much or how little tattooing a certain body part will hurt, because we all handle and process pain differently. No chart and no amount of asking people will help. You just have to suck it up and deal with it.
the choice is yours
Itching for a new tattoo but don’t know what to get? Don’t get tattooed until you know for sure.
Asking for tattoo ideas from family, friends, or even strangers on the internet, is only going to fill your head with ideas and images things you don’t like, or concepts you don’t like enough to consider putting on your body.
You, and only you, know what makes the perfect tattoo. Allow the ideas to come to you before moving forward.
the right tattoo artist
If you’re unsure about the quality of work of a particular tattoo artist there’s a reason for it. Unless you’re 100% happy with their work, then don’t get tattooed by them. The time spent researching tattoo artists will ensure you’re not filled with a lifetime of regret.
There’s no need for you to plan out every single detail of a tattoo or even for you to draw up a tattoo design. Tattoo artists are called artists for a reason – give them a concept or supply them with a couple of reference images, but ultimately allow them the creativity to bring your vision to life.
meaning doesn’t matter… to anyone but you
person 1: tattoos don’t have to have meaning [opinion]
person 2: but I have (insert number) tattoos and all they all mean something to me [opinion stated as fact]
Some people have incredibly personal and meaningful tattoos and others have completely meaningless tattoos – some people may have a mix of the two. Meaning or no meaning, you don’t owe anyone an explanation nor are you required to justify your tattoo choices.
It’s a tired argument that serves no purpose because there is no right or wrong answer; a meaningful tattoo is no more special than a meaningless tattoo.
Get what you want tattooed on your body. Simple.
